How Spanish Pharmacists Primary Care 2010
The manager of the Aragon Health Service (HEALTH), Ana Sees, attended the presentation of the XV National Congress of the Spanish Society of Primary Care Pharmacy, held between 27 and 29 October with the slogan Pharmacy Primary Care Challenges and Opportunities.
The congress, attended by 400 health professionals, will discuss two key issues: the primary care pharmacy and work with new technologies and their activities at national and international.
The Government of Aragon, through the Department of Health and Consumer Affairs, has worked as a pioneer in issues that deal with primary care pharmacists such as the rational use of drugs and deployment of electronic prescribing and electronic medical records. The latter, very important for the prescription and in which the role of pharmacists in primary care is crucial, as stressed Sees.
Ana Sees has highlighted the often silent work of these professionals who provide the information physicians and complementary and valuable training to prescribe medications with the best quality, maximum safety and more efficiently.
The Spanish Society of Primary Care Pharmacists (SEFAP) is a scientific society was born 15 years ago with the aim to promote activities aimed at ensuring optimal use of medicines in the field of primary care. Currently have over 700 members.
